Saint David’s Scholarship

Humanities

Awarding criteria:
Awarded to first year students enrolling on a full-time undergraduate degree course within the Faculty of Humanities and Performing Arts. These scholarships are competitive and awarded on arrival at the University in September 2018. 

Eligible applicants will have:

  • Visited the campus (e.g. open day, visit day or student experience weekend) and have had a scheduled interview with a member of academic staff;
  • Submitted a short essay (no more than 750 words) on a topic provided by the Faculty;
  • Confirmed UWTSD as a firm choice by 26/3/18.

Eligible applicants include UK and EU undergraduate students with tuition fees of £9k.

This scholarship is paid in two instalments: 50% in Semester 1 and 50% in Semester 2.

Award amount:
Up to £1,000.

Swansea College of Art Creative Excellence Bursary

Awarded to UK/EU students enrolling on the first of a full-time undergraduate degree course within Swansea College of Art.

Available to first year students enrolling on the following full-time undergraduate degree courses. Eligible applicants are those who have confirmed UWTSD as their firm choice by March 1st 2018.

City of Culture Bursary:
BA Events Management at UWTSD Swansea (15 awards available).

Cynefin Adventure Bursary:
BA Outdoor Adventure Education at UWTSD Carmarthen (15 awards available). This bursary will take the form of a voucher for appropriate equipment or training.

Eligible applicants for the above awards include UK and EU undergraduate students with tuition fees of £9k.

Up to £500.

Athrofa Undergraduate Scholarship

Awarding criteria:
Available to first year students enrolling on either one of the following undergraduate programmes:

  • BA with QTS
  • BA gyda SAC.

(30 awards available)

Eligible applicants are those who have confirmed UWTSD as their firm choice by 1/3/18 and who have a grade B GCSE in English and Maths and a grade C in Science

Eligible applicants for the above awards include UK and EU undergraduate students with tuition fees of £9k.

This scholarship is paid in two instalments: 50% in Semester 1 and 50% in Semester 2.

Awarding criteria:
Awarded to first year students with a BTEC Merit profile enrolling on the following full-time undergraduate degree courses.  Applications will be judged on academic merit and awarded after the first semester.
